Tätigkeit / Ihre Aufgaben
  • Reporting to the Executive Chef
  • Leading and managing a team of 4 to 6 bakers
  • (Pastry team is another division, but co-operating is an requirement)
  • Oversee, create and prepare baked goods, dessert menu items and bread production
  • Enure that the organization complies with all statutory hygiene requirements
  • Menu creation, pricing, scheduling as well as competitive ordering and food and labor cost
  • Research and develop recipes
  • Product quality control
  • Assist in the the preparation of caterings
  • Assist in the ordering and re-stocking of kitchen supplies
  • Conduct a monthly inventory for the Bakery division
  • Maintain an efficient, productive and positive work environment
  • All other duties deemed necessary and befit this leadership position
Anforderung / Ihr Profil
  • Associate Degree in Culinary Arts or related dicsipline or seven yeras relevant experience in lieu of an Associate Degree
  • Minimum of five years as a Baker/Pastry Chef is mandatory
  • Ability and experience in preparing various cuisines
  • Great knowledge of Artesian breads and baked goods and competences in the methodolgy of various forms of European breadmaking (particular attention to sourdough)
  • Experience in food safety regulations and procedures are essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure in an extremely busy kitchen
  • Positive attitude and personal values that complement the corporate ethos
  • Ability to work six days a week, be on your feet for long periods and lift 50 pounds
  • Have flexible shift availabilities and commute bet
